Carlton Tech Stewardship (CTS) provides residential and work-from-home network management, security monitoring, and IT consulting. Our services are "managed," meaning we configure and maintain hardware and software on your behalf to reduce digital risk and improve network performance.
While CTS utilizes enterprise-grade hardware (Firewalla) and advanced AI monitoring (Bark, NextDNS) to significantly reduce digital threats, no security system is 100% impenetrable.
CTS does not guarantee that your network will be immune to all cyberattacks, viruses, or unauthorized access.
The "Stewardship" model is a risk-reduction service, not a guarantee of absolute digital safety.
To the maximum extent permitted by the laws of Saskatchewan:
Liability Cap: In no event shall David Carlton or Carlton Tech Stewardship be liable for damages exceeding the total amount paid by the client for services in the six (6) months preceding the claim.
No Indirect Damages: CTS is not liable for lost data, lost profits, or any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from network downtime, hardware failure, or cyber-breaches.
Third-Party Services: CTS utilizes third-party tools (Bark, Firewalla, NextDNS). We are not responsible for outages or failures caused by these third-party providers.
Managed Tiers: For the 'Everyday', 'Power', 'Silver', and 'WFH' tiers, the hardware remains the property of Carlton Tech Stewardship and is provided as part of your monthly subscription.
Termination: Upon cancellation of service, managed hardware must be returned to CTS in good working condition within 14 days. Failure to return hardware will result in a replacement fee ($450 for Purple units / $750 for Gold units).
Nomad Tier: Hardware for the 'Traveler Nomad' tier is purchased and owned by the client.
To manage your security, CTS requires administrative access to your network gateway.
We do not monitor your private browsing traffic, read your emails, or store personal files.
Our access is used strictly for technical maintenance, threat blocking, and performance optimization.
We will never share your network data with third parties.
Services are billed monthly via [Wave Financial/Interac e-Transfer].
You may cancel your Stewardship subscription at any time with 30 days' notice.
Setup fees are non-refundable once hardware has been installed.
